I’m Clayton (Clay), Director of Training of CPResus, a qualified Paramedic, and currently studying for a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice.
My career in emergency care has given me a real appreciation for how important good first aid knowledge and confidence can be. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about creating training that is practical, approachable and relevant to everyday life.
CPResus is something I’m particularly proud to be building alongside a close colleague and friend. Our aim is to provide high-quality first aid and resuscitation training in an environment where people feel comfortable learning, asking questions and developing the confidence to respond when it matters most.
Outside of work and study, I’m happiest spending time outdoors. I enjoy playing golf and pickleball, and I value the time these give me to switch off, stay active and spend time with friends.
For me, CPResus is about more than teaching a course. It’s about helping people feel prepared, capable and confident to step forward when someone needs their help.
I’m Peter, Managing Director of CPResus, a qualified Paramedic, working for London Ambulance Service.
I have first-hand seen the importance of how unexplainably important quick and effective chest compressions are in saving a life. The chain of survival highlights how important this is with early CPR being the second link to better patient outcomes.
The out of hospital cardiac arrest survival rate is 7.8% - that is 1 in every 12 patients surviving 30 days after suffering from a cardiac arrest. Clay and I feel that is shockingly low. We decided to try and do something about it and decided to found our own company with the sole purpose that any attendee on one of our courses leaves with the confidence to be able to do something to help.
When not in an ambulance or teaching first aid I am a keen rugby player, playing for my local club, the London ambulance service, and the newly formed GB Ambulance Rugby Team. I spend a lot of time training both on the pitch and in the gym. I have also (rather terrifyingly) just become a father to a gorgeous baby boy (he must get it from his dad!).
CPResus is an opportunity for me to share my lived experiences of rendering first aid in it’s many forms to a patient who needs it the most.
I’m Chantal, I am the IQA Lead for CPResus.
As a registered paramedic with the London Ambulance Service, caring for others has always been at the heart of what I do. Throughout my career, I've supported people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, and that passion for helping others inspired me to be part of CPResus.
My mission is to empower new parents, carers, grandparents, and family members with the confidence and practical skills to respond to paediatric emergencies. Becoming a first-time mum to a beautiful baby boy has given me an even greater appreciation of how overwhelming parenthood can feel. I know firsthand the reassurance that first aid knowledge provides, especially as paediatric first aid isn't routinely offered as part of NHS maternity care. My aim is to help reduce anxiety by giving families the confidence to act quickly and calmly if medical help is ever needed.
When I'm not teaching or working on the frontline, you'll usually find me indulging my inner shopaholic, trying out new restaurants, or unwinding with a relaxing spa day. I believe learning should be friendly, supportive, and enjoyable, and I can't wait to help you feel more confident in keeping your little ones safe.
